Since there is no abstract we provide the first sentence In a recent issue of the Journal Ann Surg Oncol Olson et al. [1] report on intraoperative margin assessment due the proposed frozen section analysis. This method reduced the rates of re-excision and local recurrence in patients treated with breast-conserving surgery (BCS). The authors emphasize the need for tumor free microscopic resection lines.
