Despite sensitivity and high response rate to neoadjuvant chemotherapy or chemoradiotherapy in esophageal cancer, pre-treatment identification of responder patients still remains a grand challenge. Could endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) be useful before, during and after completion of neoadjuvant treatment be used for monitoring the disease and improving therapeutic decisions?
