Technological breakthroughs increasingly changes surgery and surgical oncology. Laparoscopic surgery has evolved over the last decades and robotic surgery provides promising findings for prostate cancer and rectal cancer treatment. Here, I focus on advances, challenges and evidence in the treatment of gastric cancer by using minimally invasive approaches.
