Although the EGFR signaling pathways regulates crucial cellular processes including cell proliferation, survival, differentiation, and apoptosis, no evidence exists that EGFR measurement in blood of cancer patients could be used as biomarker for monitoring and predicting of the oncological outcomes of colorectal cancer patients.
