Great strides have been made in the diagnosis and treatment of early-stage breast cancer, thanks to advances in molecular medicine, interdisciplinary treatment, and rapid electronic communication. Hormonal therapy, the first and most successful targeted therapy for breast cancer, has saved many thousands of lives.
